A soft tissue technique that works to release painful tension in muscles and fascia that you would usually experience as a knot in the muscle. There are many different approaches to Trigger Point Therapy, the most common is the ischemic pressure that consist in pressing the trigger point manually until the pain subsides and that increase the pressure again. This can create an adaptation effect of the nerve system and at the moment of the release there is a wash out effect of blood rushing back into the point leading to reduction of stiffness.
